Pontus joined TheraFit Physical Therapy in June of 2024. He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. Pontus received his doctorate in Physical Therapy from Alabama State University. Prior to joining TheraFit, Pontus treated patients in an outpatient Orthopedic/Musculoskeletal clinic in Troy, AL.
He is certified in Dry Needling. Pontus began his career working in an outpatient neurology clinic, where he worked with patients with Bell's palsy, Parkinson's Disease, neck and back pain, balance difficulties, and more.
His goal as a physical therapist is to inspire people to conquer challenges related to mobility and independence through a personalized treatment plan, which focuses not just on the impairment but on the person as a whole.
